About Me
I am a software developer with experience as Head of Web & Frontend Development and Senior Software Developer. My focus is on building and evolving web platforms that need to remain maintainable, scalable, and reliable over time. I combine technical depth in architecture and implementation with a strong focus on team enablement, developer experience, observability, and sustainable development processes.
In projects, I take responsibility for technical decisions, clean structures, and collaboration models that keep teams effective in the long term. In my next role, I am deliberately looking for a position as a Lead Developer or in technical team leadership, where I can bring together architecture, delivery, and team development.
Professional Experience
At Deichmann SE, I develop several webshops for Deichmann and its subsidiaries, including Snipes and Buffalo, based on Angular and NestJS in Nx monorepos. Beyond implementation work, I take on additional functional responsibility in technical alignment and decision-making processes, particularly in the areas of observability, developer experience, and technical quality. In addition, I support onboarding, knowledge sharing, and cross-team collaboration.
In my freelance work, I advise on and deliver digital projects for small businesses, with a focus on web applications, webshops, and technical integrations. My responsibilities include requirements analysis, solution design, design implementation, as well as frontend and backend development using PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, and Angular. I also cover SEO-related requirements and support clients in developing sustainable technical solutions.
At evrbit, I was responsible for the functional and disciplinary leadership of the web and frontend team, as well as the technical and project-related delivery of client projects. I built a high-performing team, supported the growth of team members, and established clear processes for collaboration, delivery, and quality. In addition, I contributed to architecture decisions for applications built with Angular, React, PHP, and Node.js and improved cross-team workflows through the introduction of agile methods and suitable tools.
This also included resource planning, the introduction of clear workflows, and improvements to project organisation in order to increase productivity and delivery reliability. In addition, I was responsible for software architecture design and the integration of distributed systems and microservices.
At KPS Digital, I developed and maintained frontend applications using Angular and Vue, as well as supporting solutions with Node.js and SCSS. My focus was on close collaboration with the UX team, implementing responsive designs, and improving code quality, maintainability, and development standards. I also contributed to requirements engineering and architecture decisions.
At Iucon GmbH, I maintained and extended existing applications built with C# / ASP.NET and jQuery. In addition, I independently developed an e-commerce platform using C#, ECMAScript 6, SCSS, and Webpack 4. I also created an internal framework that allowed legacy jQuery syntax to be gradually replaced with modern ECMAScript 6 methods, improving both maintainability and application performance.
At ObjectCode, I worked on the development of interactive 3D web applications and 3D configurators using ECMAScript 6 and THREE.js.
Education
School-based vocational training with an extended practical phase at LPConcept in Essen. There, I worked on both WordPress projects and new websites using jQuery and CSS.
